Williamsburg, March 24. Mess. Purdie & Dixon, The
description of Norfolk, extracted from the 2d canto of The
Contest, was inserted in the Gazettes contrary to the
author's desire; but since it has produced a piece of
criticism, in Rind's paper of the 28th of last month, which
no age hath as yet paralleled, the author is not displeased
that it was made publick. . . . [2 paragraphs]
